Coach

Jess Branson-White

Coach

Coach Jess is from Apple Valley, California where she started playing volleyball at age 14. She continued to play for six more years until she ended her career with her club volleyball team at Cal State Channel Islands. She is currently serving in the Navy while coaching with the Local program on the weekends.

Coach Jess has been assistant coaching for two years at Fallbrook High school with their JV team as she continues helping at SoCal with the 14 and high school age group. Players would describe her coaching style as technical and energetic. She enjoys coaching high school kids but will always love going back to the basics with younger players.

Looking into the future, Coach Jess plans on staying active duty while she continues to coach as much as she can!

Tyler Branson-White

Coach

Tyler’s coaching style can be described as energetic, passionate, inspirational and intense. His love for volleyball started not long after he was born. His mother, a collegiate coach at the time, has been his inspiration for the game since birth. He started officially playing when he was eight and continued to club volleyball throughout his high school days.

Tyler’s coaching career started in 2017 with SoCal volleyball club where he helped Coach Aimee’s travel team. After that he continued with his own team the following fall, coaching Fall Ball. From there he became involved with the Local program at SoCal, coaching 14’s and high school teams. Outside of club, Tyler has coached the girl’s JV Fallbrook High School team and later the JV boy’s at El Camino High school. With Tyler’s experience in coaching, he moves on to take his first travel team at SoCal in the 2020 season!

Tyler’s favorite group to coach is anyone that is willing to work hard, play hard, be moldable and ready to have fun. The teams that have the most fun and the most passion are the ones he will remember the most. Tyler’s overall coaching goal is to coach at a Division 1 school. Once he gets out of the Marine Corps, he will be coaching full-time and going to college to achieve his teaching credentials.
