I hope this note finds you and yours happy and well in a time marked by uncertainty. I’m sure we’re all in the same boat in assuming that fall high school sports may be canceled or rescheduled and if that happens, we’d love to find a way to keep kids playing and coaches coaching. Over the past two months, we’ve successfully executed the Day Camp protocol and it is working! Kids are loving being in the gym with their friends and teammates, parents feel comfortable and trust that we’re doing everything in our power to keep their kids safe, and coaches are loving the structure and to coach without distraction.
Our proposal for fall is to have teams train at SoCal under their school banner, in stable groups of 12 (Freshmen, JV, Varsity….Freshman B, JV B- you name it!) in a 10-week season, starting in August and running through the end of October. We don’t yet have clearance for stable groups to compete against one another, but minimally, your kids get to train together with schoolmates (possibly the only time they’ll get to be together) in a safe, clean, controlled environment. We will administrate, insure, schedule, staff the gym and provide a season t-shirt with your school’s logo.
While we hammer out the details, sign-up at High School Fall Ball Evaluations for FREE and include your school so we know who your teammates are. This will reserve a spot for you in a program that we think will fill up pretty fast. There is no commitment so if your high school season happens, we will be there to cheer you on…if we can.
