Eighteen year coaching veteran, Bridgette Salas, has joined SoCal Volleyball Club as an indoor coach and Sand/Beach Coordinator. After listening to member feedback, June marked SoCal Volleyball Club’s refreshed Sand/Beach Program with Bridgette at the helm. Camper’s parents raved, “[I] love Bridgette so much. She’s great and was so good with the girls. Taught them a lot, so encouraging too. I can’t wait to tell our team about her and the program.”
Bridgette is no stranger to leading successful volleyball programs. For nine years she owned and directed Showcase Volleyball Club impacting over 500 players and 30 coaches. She also has varsity high school coaching experience (indoor and sand) at Horizon Prep (Rancho Santa Fe) and Classical Academy. “Having Bridgette join us is a great addition for our members,” says SoCal VBC Director Aimee Asebroek, “it’s clear, coaching is ‘her thing,’ she’s aligned with our ‘character through kindness’ values, and she has high-level management experience.”
The updated Sand/Beach Program resumes training July 9th, with three-day camps and Tuesday/Thursday clinics. “This is an individual training program, so you don’t need a partner,” Bridgette says of her program, “we’re emphasizing training girls as individual players this summer. Learning to play with different people is very important. I’ll help you find a partner for tournaments.”
