What do I wear to my evaluation?
Wear comfortable, loose athletic clothes and tennis shoes.
What do I bring to my evaluation?
Wear a mask to the gym, and bring a reusable water bottle. We have refillable stations in the gym.
Who do I talk to when I arrive at the gym?
The CSR (Customer Service Representative) that checks you in at the back door will get you all checked in, temp check you, and make sure you get to the right court. The Local Program Director, Sherry Clouet, will also be present to evaluate you and make sure you have a great experience.
Will someone follow up with me after my evaluation?
Yes. You’ll receive a follow up email with your team assignment, clinic assignment, registration link, and GroupMe (team messaging app) information.
Can I buy gear at the club?
Yes! We have a pro-store at the club for all of your volleyball and spirit wear needs. Parents are welcome to shop in-person or online at store.socalvbc.com
How long is the session?
The evaluation will be an hour and 45 minutes.
How long is the season?
The local program runs from November 1st through July 3rd. Players are welcome to join anytime. Tuition will be prorated from your start.
What’s the schedule for the Local Program?
The program includes a Saturday team practice and a weekday skills clinic. Typically, the teams compete in 6 half day tournaments at Epic Volleyball Club against other San Diego based teams, however, the tournament season has been suspended this year because of Covid. There is a possibility that tournaments will resume before the end of the season.
