The USA Women’s Soccer team is fighting for equal pay with the men, despite being the most successful team in USA Soccer history. USA Women’s Soccer is not the only team fighting for equal pay, the USA Women’s Hockey team just won their battle for higher wages after threatening to sit out of the World Championships. After winning a pay increase, the USA Women’s Hockey team went on to win the World Championships for a fourth time.

To this day, “Nationwide, women are paid 83 cents for every dollar paid to men, according to the Pew Research Center, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank.” Women continue to fight the wage gap, and may they continue to win these battles for equality… #girlpower
