The City of San Marcos has awarded SoCal a 10 year Conditional Use Permit for continued operations of  the volleyball academy within the city.  SoCal has successfully worked with the city over the past 6 years winning a 6 month permit, 1 year permit and a 5 year permit.  SoCal Director Scott Phillips said, “Since we started our program 12 years ago, we had always wanted to work with the City of San Marcos.  They are progressive, organized and long-term strategists for not only the city but the north county.  Our facility along the 78 corridor was our first choice when looking for a long-term home.  We are thankful to the city and the community for embracing our mission and look forward to the next 10 years serving the county of San Diego from our San Marcos home.”

As a non-standard tenant for the light industrial business area of San Marcos, SoCal and other organizations are required to present their use to the city at the expiration of their permit.  Permits are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and awarded based on their value to the city.
